Puerto Marino is a collection of apartments to rent on the edge of Los Alcazares on the Mar Menor. The properties at Puerto Marino are just a short stroll from a wide selection of restaurants and bars, supermarkets etc and just 10 minutes stroll to the Mar Menor beach. Puerto Marino is in a privileged position being only 5 minutes from the airport by car and less than 5 minutes by car to 2 golf courses (Roda Golf Resort and La Serena Golf Resort).

These 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are clustered around communal pools and gardens. They comprise 2 or 3 bedrooms, 1 or 2 full bathrooms, American style kitchen, lounge and balcony.

Los Alcazares has blue flag beaches and a flat tiled promenade that is over 4kms long. It is located on the crystal clear Mar Menor, which is a mecca for all kinds of watersports, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, scuba or just swimming. Golf is never far away here, there are 2 golf courses within 5 minutes drive and a further 14 within half an hour drive with many more under construction.

Though a seaside resort, Los Alcazares has a considerable permanent population and is a favourite of northern Europeans particularly over the winter months and has been a firm favourite with Spanish tourists in the Summer for many years. It’s proximity to the airport (5 minutes by car) makes it an ideal getaway resort and indeed with the low cost airlines now operating into the local airport of Murcia (San Javier), it introduces the concept of long weekends in Spain.

Further afield, the regional capitol of Murcia is about 30 minutes drive and has a host of fine buildings and shops. A 15 minute drive south is the old port city of Cartagena which has an excellent array of shops and old buildings even a Roman amphitheatre. There are several protected areas within half hours drive, Calblanque and Sierra de Carrascoy regional parks and the Salinas bird sanctuary to name but 3. These properties are ideal as a holiday destination in and out of season.
